Keren and Ren

Keren called me and asked if I did engagement shoots!  I explained that I do eSessions for all my brides and grooms and include that in their wedding contracts and I do all kinds of portraits unrelated to weddings.   So off we went to Longwood Gardens finding unusual angles and scenery.  I’ve been shooting portraits there for 16 years and always try to find something different for my clients.  I don’t want my artistry to look like every other photographers work!

My old assistant Heather dragged my bags around for me, while we chatted and walked the grounds.  Needless to say this summer has been a scorcher so far and that Saturday in June was no different. The challenge is to find good light, great backgrounds and make it look like it’s 70 degress out.  Ha!  We had a blast walking the grounds and I hope the images prove it.  On the walk back from our session Keren and Ren both agreed that I had to be their wedding photographer.  It was a great day.  Thanks so much!

Hotter than Hell

Record temperatures awaited Amy and Chris on the beach in Dewey!  This was only a glimpse of things to come in June.  We soared through our portrait session before making way for the cooler confines of Venus on the Half Shell.  Linda and I were seeing stars by the time we went to cool off as the temperature hit 95.  Amy and Chris were troopers though and we made it look a lot cooler than it was.  The day was filled with new friends and great people and the reception rocked.  Thanks to all for a grand day at the beach!  xxoo

Victoria and Markley

A Saturday morning in Havre de Grace was the backdrop for our eSession with Victoria and Markley!  I had the pleasure of meeting Victoria at Alicia and Erik’s wedding in 2004 and we hit it off right away.  Victoria is a fellow photographer, so Linda and I have our hands full keeping our imagery at its finest.  After my phone interview with Markley, we finally got to meet and hang out.

For part 1 of their eSession we raced around Havre de Grace looking for great light and cool locations for an hour.  Part 2 will be in the fall in a woodsy creek location.  We had a blast hanging out and look forward to our next session and their 10/10/10 wedding!  Enjoy!

An Odessa Affair

After we finished doing our eSession at Bancroft Mills, Linda and I knew we were in for a wonderful day with Stacy and Jonathan! The sun shined all day as we followed them around Townsend and Odessa.  We met new friends and wonderful families as we enjoyed their hospitality on a picture perfect May day.  Stacy was an absolutely beautiful bride, while Jonathan worked hard to keep his tears away.  A special thanks to Janine for finding us and pointing Stacy and her brother our way!  I can’t wait for our next photo shoot!  As we went to this weekend’s wedding, we laughed as we passed Jonathan’s house remembering what a special day this was!  xxoo

Captured Memories

I have an office full of great images from my 16 years in the photography industry!  For those of you that have been in my office you know that there is little room on the walls for more.  I only have one image of my grandfather and one of my biggest regrets is not having photos of all my grandparents.  Time goes by so quickly and the memories are always with us, but photographs are so important to share with generations to come.

Recently Linda and I had the pleasure of photographing an 80th birthday party!  Many thanks to Meg at Sweet Peas for recommending us to capture these memories.  We spent an hour doing all kinds of family portraits then headed off to photograph the party.  We met a great family and captured great portraits and memories to last a lifetime.  Isn’t it time for you to capture these memories?  Thank you so much!
