Dead of Winter

I love winter!  Something about the sun coming more southerly causes the colors in the winter rival the fall.  I’ve done some of my best portrait work in the winter if you are brave enough.  We decided that Fridays will be “Shootin Friday”!  The beauty of nature is found in all seasons.  As we hiked along the Brandywine River interesting things unveiled along the banks.  If anyone is interested in joining us on Friday mornings, please send me an email for details.  The journey proves to be an interesting one.  Enjoy!

Robin

In every one’s life there comes along an unique individual that inspires you artistically.  I met Robin during a photo shoot for Pagave Salon, which I photograph for often.  Robin has undeniable qualities that allow me to dig in to the “who are you” photography.  I have many inquiries for the “who I wish I was”, but being able to pull the inner beauty of my clients is one of my strong points in my photographs.  Robin and I have a long term plan involving the seasons and her beauty. Welcome Spring!

Olde New Castle

I have photographed numerous eSessions and weddings in Old New Castle.  Every time I photograph there, I try hard to find unique locations  amongst the cobblestone streets, antiquated buildings and structures, and varied landscapes.  Emily and Rob’s wedding proved no different!  It was a bright sunny day and we had fun dodging amongst the buildings looking for that “sweet” light.  Anytime I get the opportunity to photograph in a cemetery, I get excited about the twisted nature of it all! A big hug to Kim, who has allowed me to photograph both of her daughters!

Early Birds

I love beach weddings!  At a recent beach wedding we showed up early and had some time to photograph nature.  The beauty of nature is something we often pass by and my only resolution this year (besides my vain attempt at curmudgeon of the year:) ) is to spend more time photographing nature and the world around us.  I actually got my start in photography as a business shooting orchids for an avid collector and dear friend.  Walt helped me do a show at the Arden Fair and was a great believer in my vision.  Thank you! I look forward to my walks through the Brandywine Valley, along the Eastern Shore, and around the wonderful beaches we live so close to.
